Pilakoutas: Everything you need to know about the New Range Rover

June 21st 2022

For over 70 years, Land Rover has been manufacturing authentic cars that represent true 'breadth of capability' across the model range. The Defender, cars in the Discovery series, and all Range Rovers models, define the world's SUV sectors, with exports to more than 100 countries.

The New Range Rover SV from Special Vehicle Operations offers ultimate personalisation, with exclusive design details and material choices - it is estimated that this new vehicle can be tailored to the customer’s aesthetics in numerous different ways!

Special Vehicle Operations is a dedicated team of designers, engineers and technicians who work to improve the performance, luxury, and capability of SV-branded Land Rover vehicles.

The levels of craftsmanship and detail found in the New Range Rover SV reflect a fresh and luxurious approach to our modern design philosophy. By expanding the choice of innovative and exquisite material finishes and curated choices available to our clients, they now have further opportunity to personalise their Range Rover SV to reflect their own character.” - Professor Gerry McGovern OBE, Chief Creative Officer, Jaguar Land Rover Design

What can you find in the New Range Rover?

Meticulous marquetry

The expert craftsmanship of Special Vehicle Operations extends to the interior wood veneers, including optional mosaic marquetry on the centre console. The meticulously arranged veneer is made from FSC-certified wenge and features hundreds of hand-laid laser-cut pieces.

Super-soft leathers

The Range Rover SV comes with a monotone semi-aniline leather interior with uniquely shaped seats and SV-specific embroidery patterns. Near-aniline options with the natural finish and tactility of furniture-grade leather are also available: softer, with fewer treatments and less pigmentation for a more natural feel.

Sustainable UltrafabricsTM

Customers who choose the Light Cloud and Cinder Grey UltrafabricsTM option with the SV Intrepid interior theme, can now choose their Range Rover to come with a sustainable leather. This polyurethane material, with delicate haptic and technical aesthetic, has all the tactile attributes of leather but is 30% lighter and produces just a fraction of the CO2 that leather does.

Metal plating

The appearance of the New Range Rover is complemented with gleaming Atlas Silver or Anthracite metal-plated trim on the grilles, lower tailgate, rear wing ingot, and body side graphic with laser-etched SV emblem.

Exclusive wheels

Among the 13 alternative wheels that can be ordered, customers are also able to choose to triple-finish 23-inch forged Diamond Turned Dark Grey Gloss alloy wheels.

Individual paint

Customers can also customise their SV from a wide selection of colour palette including 14 extra colours in the SV Bespoke Premium Palette, which comprises vivid Gloss and refined Satin finishes. In addition, customers can also have their SV rood tailored to their preferences.

Curated design themes

There are seven different design themes that allow New Range Rover SV owners to express their style both inside and out, they can be ordered separately and can be applied to the entire car or as a single theme.

The new Range Rover is available in Standard and Long Wheelbase body style, as well as a five-seat LWB version. LWB clients will now be able to order the four-seat SV Signature Suite, which has an electrically deployable Club Table and an integrated refrigerator.

The refined new 530PS V8 Twin Turbo petrol, 510PS Extended-Range plug-in hybrid (SWB only), and the eco D350 straight-six Ingenium diesel will be among the powerful and efficient engine options.
